Glass Keepsake Bowl
We are working with a talented glassmaker who hand makes these beautiful glass keepsake bowls which are just perfect for holding a few mementos or will look fabulous as an ornament in any home. The bottom cone is also hand made and will hold a small amount of ashes or maybe some keepsakes.
Available in Amethyst, Turquoise Blue or Emerald Green hand blown glass.
The bases are made from either oak or walnut and house a secret compartment.
Engraving is possible for an additional charge, £5 per character for smaller font on the base or £8 per character for hand engraving on the artwork.
Keeping the ashes
Many people keep their loved one’s ashes at home, some because they are not sure what to do with them, some because they are not yet ready to do something with them and some simply want to keep them close by, in the house. Sometimes, very well meaning, friends will give advice such as ‘it’s time to move on’ or ‘you’ll feel better if you scatter/bury them’. But only you will know how you feel with the loss of your loved one and only you will know when and if the time is right to do something else with the ashes.
Splitting the ashes
As long as there are no religious reasons it is worthwhile thinking about keeping some of the ashes, they can help to allow other members of the family or friends to satisfy their need to do something with the ashes whilst you get to keep some with you. This will give you more time to decide what you want to do as your feelings may change over time. Until then these urns can keep the ashes safely at home without you having to explain your reasons to anyone, if someone admires the keepsake it is up to you whether you tell them or not.
P&P is included for mainland UK, each artwork is made to order so please allow around 10 to 12 weeks for delivery. If you need the item for a specific date please contact us on info@scattering-ashes.co.uk and we will speak to the artists involved and do our best to arrange this for you.
